Africa Medical Mission

35.4% of $22,000 funded

For over 15 years a group of Australian volunteers has been travelling to Africa to provide medical care to remote and isolated minority people groups. These volunteers have included Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, and Dentists, as well as non-medical personnel, who provide free basic medical treatment for those who do not have access to help or cannot afford it. Indigenous Doctors also work alongside the team so that both groups can learn from each other about what is appropriate in the local situation. Up to 800 people per day are assisted during a trip of 3 week.

The team members give up their own time and pay for their travel and accommodation, but paying for the needed medical supplies is always a struggle. Wycliffe Relief and Development would like to assist the next group, who will leave in June 2018, by helping to pay for these critical supplies.

Please note that all donations are processed by Wycliffe Bible Translators Australia.
